My name is Brian Rooney. I have been a full-time network marketing professional since the year 2000. I’m not as interested in “pitching” you as I am to finding out more about you and how we might be able to work together.

My own motivation to get involved in network marketing was the fact that I was missing out on some amazing “firsts” with my 5 young children. I wanted to be the dad that was actually involved in their lives. So, we began our journey.

We learned a lot of things the hard way. Starting out, we didn’t have a good mentor or coach. Eventually, we found one and it changed everything for us. I have been “successfully unemployed” since the year 2000. I enjoy building the business and I enjoy meeting other network marketing enthusiasts, whether they be full-time or part-time.

As I live in the Houston area (Spring/Woodlands), I am always interested in meeting others involved in network marketing in Houston and surrounding areas. We don’t even have to be in the same company. Sometimes, it just helps to know and interact with other professionals. Nobody get us quite like us!

I’ve been a home based entrepreneur since the year 2000. More than just the allure of being able to build a business online, I wanted to be the dad that was actually home for his kids.

This journey started a long time ago and I have learned a lot along the way. The biggest thing I have found is that the basics will always apply. We have to consistently do the basics to build a business online … any business.

When I get someone started in this business, the big question I typically get is, “How do I find people to talk to?”

My first response is: “Open your eyes. They are literally everywhere“.

In all honesty, I really do believe that we can and should talk to just about anyone and everyone about what we’re doing; especially when what we’re doing can change lives in such a dramatic way.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that everyone we talk to will be as excited as we are.

My own parents shut me down completely when I approached them with this idea of being able to build a business online.opportunity.

And that’s my job … present the product and the opportunity. Tom “Big Al” Schreiter explains it like this:

Our job description is to get people to make a decision about our product, service, or opportunity.” And that is my goal: To get a “yes” or a “no”.

I get told “no” all the time.

But … and this is how I build my business … I also get told “yes”. It’s all about the numbers.

I think of my role as being a “decision collector”. Sometimes, I collect a “no”. Sometimes, I collect a “yes”.

These are the facts of life. Sometimes, a “no” later becomes a “yes”. The point is … I just keep presenting the opportunity and let them make a decision.

Now, we are talking about how to build a business online. Let me be very clear: Working online doesn’t mean “instead of prospecting”. It’s just a different method of prospecting.

I generate online mlm leads by promoting my web site. I use a number of strategies (both free and paid) to get people to my web site.

Once someone gets to my web site, the begin seeing information that is designed to help them make a decision.

Those that are not interested can simply close their browser or go to a different web page.

Those that are interested can fill out a form on my web site requesting more information.

Once they get the information, they have another decision to make. They either want to know more or they are simply not interested in learning more. When they are interested, that’s when I reach out to them to help them get the answers they need to make the next decision: Become a customer or become a team member.

While all this is going on, my autoresponder is following up with emails to share information, talk about success stories, remind them I’m available, and keep them updated.

Using an autoresponder is like having a 24/7 prospecting machine working for me to attract and identify some of the best prospects available: People that are already looking for this kind of information. They are at least curious about what it takes to build a business online.

Let’s review the process:

1) My job: Promote my web site. A web site is worthless without people actually visiting it.

2) My web site’s job: Present the basic information and invite them to learn more.

3) My web site then collects information from those visitors that want to know more and passes that information on to me via my AutoResponder.

4) I get on the phone with those that want to talk more.

5) While this is happening, my AutoResponder keeps following up with them via email.

6) They make a decision to become a customer, a team member, or just keep doing what they were doing before we talked.

That’s it. I have no real concern about which decision they make. I just want to help them get the information so they can make the decision that is right for them.

I follow this process over and over again. Some days, I get no new leads, at all. Some days, I get 4, 5, 6 leads at a time.

By combining this online strategy with offline methods, I’m able to constantly have people to talk to about my business.

How To Get Your First 10 Customers

first 10 customersGetting your first 10 customers is a big milestone in your business with our team. Our culture is all about being “customer centric” and helping our team members get those customers as quickly as possible.

Remember … we aren’t trying to “sell” anything to anyone. We are simply showing people how to save money on something they are already doing or planning to do.

One of my favorite ways to get customers is to send the people in my iPhone a simple text message. The best thing to do is to get this done quickly. (Success loves speed!)

My message looks like this:

I am launching a new service that helps travelers save money on hotels, cars, resorts, etc… I am giving away a free site you can use any time. No cost to you. Would you like one?

Your name here

When I do this, a few things happen:

1) My Message Gets Ignored. It happens.
2) I get told “stop”. It happens, especially when it’s someone I don’t know well. When I get these, I remove them from my phone.
3) They say something like “Sounds good” or “Sure, thanks”. When they reply like this, I send them a buumerang! Some days, I pick up 10 or more customers before  lunch!

If they start asking me, “What is this?” or “How does it work?” I say

Let me send you a code. You can claim your free site and take it for a test drive. You will be amazed at some of the savings you can find!

If they push or resist, just move on. Tell them,

Any time you’re ready to save on a trip you plan to take, let me know. I’ll hook you up.

Then move on to sending the next message. This is the simplest customer acquisition model I have ever seen. I use it daily!

I also talk to people while I’m out. Folks are talking about the trip they just took, plan to take, or hope to take. I say to them:

I can give you a free travel site that will absolutely save you money on that trip. Would you like me to send it to you via text or email?

Then, I send them a buumerang!

Don’t complicate it. Keep it simple, and before you know it, you will have customers stacking up in your Dashboard building your Perpetual Residual Income Builder!

When you do this consistently, you will begin building residual income with your phone!

Prospecting For Your Business

1) Invite
2) Expose
3) Follow Up

Prospecting for your business is critical to your success. What do I mean? For business and income to grow, we need more customers. For our teams to grow, we need new team members (In our case: TSA’s). To get customers and TSA’s, we need to prospect.

Prospecting is simply us doing 3 things: Inviting people to look at what we do, Exposing them to the information, and Follow Up with them to take the next step.

When we invite, we are not concerned with whether they say “yes” or “no”. We know some will say “yes” and some will say “no”. All we really are doing is giving them an opportunity to pick the option that makes sense for them.

I like to think of it as simply asking questions along the way. The key, for me, has been to ask them a question that can end in a “yes” or a “no”.

Here are some examples:

When I am talking to a traveler and want to show them how to save money, I will ask, “If I could show you how to take that same trip for less, would that be something you would want to learn more about?“.

When I am talking to someone about the business, I will ask something like, “If I could show you how to supplement or even replace your job income with our proven system, is that something you would want to learn more about?“.

Prospecting for your business is not about trying to sell, convince, overcome objections, etc… At this point, all we really want to know is, would you be interested in learning more?“.

If they say, “No”, then the conversation is over, goes back to sports, or whatever else you were talking about. Simple stuff. No muss. No fuss.

If the answer is “Yes”, then we move the the next step: Expose them to the information. This can be a #GOOD Party where you invite them to a group presentation in a home or at one of your local big team meetings. Or it can be sending them iDecide presentation. I keep a link to my iDecide saved on my iPhone. I offer to text the link to them and they can watch it.

After they view the iDecide presentation, we are on to the next step: Follow  Up. THE question I like to ask:

What Did You Like Best About The Presentation?

And then … I STOP TALKING!

Your next step is to LISTEN to them tell you what they are excited about. This is them showing you what is important to them. If you listen carefully, you are that much closer to helping them become a customer and/or a team member. Reaffirm that, yes… that is available to you and continue the conversation to the close. If they are not quite understanding, have more questions, this is a great time to set up a strong 3-way call with your upline leader.

Here are some real world examples of how I am currently inviting:

I send a message out to my contacts via Facebook Messenger, Text, etc… My message is:

I am launching the biggest project I have ever done in more than 20 years of network marketing.

I am reaching out to you to find out one thing:

If I send you a link to a simple online presentation, will you sit down and watch it?

I get ignored. I get told “don’t send me this, again”. I get “yes”. I get “no”. I send my iDecide link to those who say “yes” and I let them know I am available to answer any questions the have after they view the presentation.

If you are not as experienced in the industry, you  might send something like this:

I have found something that I believe is going to help a lot of people.

I am teaming up with a group of home based business professionals who are showing me how they have been able to make money from home.

I thought of you and wanted to see if you would be interested in looking at what we are doing.

For those who say “yes”, send them a link to your iDecide presentation.

When I’m at the bar/restaurant, I talk to people. Some of them just end up talking about travel. I talk to people that complain about their job or boss. It’s pretty easy to work a question in to that conversation.

If I could show you how to save money on your trip, would that be something you’d want to know more about?

If I could show you how to replace that income with a system I’m using, would that be something you would want to know more about?

When I’m riding with my Uber driver, it’s really simple. I ask them what else they do when they are not driving. They tell me about their job, or they are looking for a job, etc… They may ask me what I do. I say, “iBuumerang“. When they ask what that is, I say, “I’m working with a team of people that helps travelers save money on their hotels, cars, cruises, etc… When they save, I get paid.“. They may ask how that works. They may ask if we are hiring. It really can be very simple.

Remember: Prospecting for your business is just about getting that “yes” or “no” to whether they are interested in learning more. When they are, we share the information. By doing that with big numbers and doing it quickly, you can build a solid business.
